Why is consistency in graphic identity important at Loma Linda University Health?
Consistency in our graphic identity across all entities and materials is critical to building a unified and recognizable corporate image. This applies to all promotional materials, websites, business communications, advertising, vehicles, and any other medium used to represent our brand internally or externally.
Who needs to follow the Graphic Identity Guide?
Our Loma Linda University Health logos are recognized globally and a significant investment has been put into maintaining the integrity of our graphic identity. Each individual at LLUH is responsible for ensuring that our graphic identity is being met.
All Loma Linda University Health entities must comply with the Graphic Identity Guide. In rare cases, exceptions may be reviewed by the branding/logo design team.
What are the rules for business cards and stationery?
All official business cards and stationery must be purchased through Digital Production Ink to ensure compliance with our graphic and legal standards. Orders for business cards, forms, and stationary, can done by submitting a request using the established ICR process.
What happens if someone doesn’t follow the Graphic Identity Guide?
Noncompliance will be addressed by the senior vice president for advancement, with notifications sent to the non-compliant employee, their supervisor, and their administrator.
If an external vendor (approved or non- approved) is found not following standards further discussions may result in removing them from the approved vendor list or a cease and desist notice from Legal to non-approved vendors.
How do I get approval for publicity materials?
Before creating any publicity materials, consult the Graphic Identity Guide. Any material intended for external audiences must go through an approval process and be reviewed by a peer group for adherence to the guide.
How should existing forms comply with the Graphic Identity Guide?
Forms (medical, registration or patient forms, etc.) that are highly visible to the public should be revised to meet the logo, typeface, and color specifications outlined in the graphic identity guide . Internal forms may wait for reprinting until necessary.
Forms can be ordered through Digital Production Ink via the ICR system.
Can commercial areas have their own graphic identity?
Commercial areas like Loma Linda Market and the Campus Store may request their own graphic identity if full compliance with the guide could compromise their commercial success. These requests will be reviewed by the branding/logo design team.
What follows the Graphic Identity Guide?
All items follow the graphic identity guide if it is affiliated with Loma Linda University Health or is paid by Loma Linda University Health.
Do logos have to be on promotional items
Yes, the logo should be on every promotional piece. If we are giving out items to people this needs to have our name/logo on the item. Please note that the promotional item needs to align with our values at LLUH.
What logo do I use?
At the minimum, either the Loma Linda University Health or Loma Linda University logo needs to be used. Please contact the Marketing Department if you have specific questions about which logo to use.
Can I use the LLUH logo on/for personal use?
LLUH logos are not permitted for personal items that are not ordered by the LLUH system. LLUH Logos are only for official and approved usage.
